(This prayer was composed in honor of the three children and three adults who were senselesly murdered at a private Christian school in Nashville, Tennessee on March 27, 2023. Those killed were Evelyn Diekhaus, William Kinney and Hallie Scruggs, all age 9, and Mike Hill, 61, Cynthia Peak, 61, and Dr. Katherine Koonce, 60)

Great Spirit, we come to You with heavy hearts and tears in our eyes for the children and adults who have left this world too soon because of the shooting in Nashville. They were taken from us too early, and we ask for Your comfort and guidance in this time of grief.

We pray for their families and loved ones, who must endure the pain of their loss. May they find peace and healing in Your love and presence. Creator, we ask that You wrap your arms around them and give them strength to carry on.

We also ask for Your blessings on the souls of these innocent children. May they be welcomed into Your loving embrace and find eternal rest and happiness in Your presence.

We know that their time with us was short, but we are grateful for the joy and love they brought into our lives. May their memories bring us comfort and remind us of the preciousness of every life.

Great Spirit, we ask that You watch over and protect all children, everywhere. Keep them safe from harm and help us to create a world where they can thrive and grow in peace and happiness.

We offer this prayer with love and respect, in honor of the all those who have left us. Aho.
