1. The Messenger of the Light, who comes at the right time, who takes responsibility for the Assembly and the human flesh, and serves as its leader within the Righteousness, chooses the forms of his whole Assembly and frees them, both those of the Elect and those of the Hearers;

2. He dives into the deep oceans of water and pulls them out of the jaws of the deep like pearls.

3. As for those saved, they do not stray again, but they are only drawn to the rebirths in higher realms and toil, afterwards they come to the hands of the highest angels.

4. Then the angels make their way with them to the places wherein they are to be refined.

5. For no Hearer ever at all goes on account of his deed to the hells, because of the Seal of Faith and Knowledge which is stamped on his Soul.

6. Only when they guide the man into the Truth, and he accepts the Knowledge and the Faith and begins to fast and prays and does good, at that time these new works which he has done – the fasts, the prayers, the alms he has given to the Saints – all these things are a purifier and a redeemer of his first works in every place where they may be found.

7. Now it is the power of that Hearer to release all his deeds from impurity by himself alone while he is in his body.

8. From the first day that he has forsaken the first error in which he used to be, and he has taken the Right Hand of Peace, has been convinced and taken his stand on the stairway of the true Hearership – in the hour he receives this grace and believes this way, these fasts which he has kept ascend and are welcomed into the Ship of Light of the Night out of the heaven and the earth and the trees and the creatures of the flesh, with this first fast and this first prayer, the beginning of all his good deeds.
