There are two Sources – Jehovih and Matter, Light and darkness, Good and evil – in all ways quite opposite, for they share nothing with each other, Jehovih being good and having nothing in common with evil.
In ancient times there were no heavens and no earths – only Light and dark existed, one apart from the other.
The nature of the Light is Wisdom, the nature of the dark is ignorance; in all their movement and in all their rest there is no case where these two Principles are not opposed.
Jehovih excels more in Good than Matter in evil.
For while the Light is like a good Tree full of good fruits, Matter is an evil tree bearing fruits consistent with its root.
Now the fruits of that evil root are fornications, adulteries, murders, avarice, and all evil deeds which the Father of Greatness has not planned.
It is as when two kings are fighting against each other, being enemies from the first, and having each his own property.
Now the Good Source dwells in the Region of Light, and His name is Jehovih the Father of Greatness, and His Five Tabernacles are dwelling with Him: Reason, Mind, Intelligence, Thought, Understanding; and there is no limit to the Light from above, nor to the right or left.
And aligned with Jehovih, there are other Powers, just like handmaids, all good: the Bright and the Light and the Above – all these are with the Creator.
But the evil source, the beast named the King of Darkness, dwells in its dark earth, in its five worlds: Smoke and Fire and Hot Wind and Danger-Water and Gloom; nor is there a limit to the darkness from below, either to right or to left. And with Matter are Dim and the Dark and the Below and others like them, all evil.
